It’s Okay…

Over time we experience bigger and greater challenges, and we usually come up with different ways to deal with them. One thing that I have noticed is that we usually learn a valuable lesson from our life experiences. Well, here’s what I’ve picked up so far (just in case it might help you too)

It’s okay to make mistakes…

We actually try to avoid making mistakes in life, but it’s something that’s unescapable. What makes this okay is that it gives us important and valuable life lessons. It’s what shapes us to who we are now. So no matter how bad the situation or the feeling is, embrace it. It’s a part of us, it will only make us stronger.

It’s okay to not be strong all the time…

We can put on a brave face for everyone else but we definitely cannot fool ourselves. We don’t always have to be strong, after all we are HUMAN, and our emotions affect the way we live our lives. I think it’s definitely okay to act HUMAN since we are HUMANS.

It’s okay to cry…

If you’re not the crying type then that’s okay. But if you are, don’t worry, that’s fine too. We usually feel worse when we hold all of our tears back, which isn’t good either. According to studies, crying serves to rid our bodies of excess stress and tension, so if we force ourselves to stop it, it can result to an increase in our blood pressure and heart rate. It’s totally normal to react to a certain emotion, whether we’re sad or hurt. We also cry even when we’re happy, so what’s wrong with expressing our emotions, right?

It’s okay to have a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to…

Having a best friend or a life partner that you can talk to about these things will definitely help, or it can be as simple as your parents or siblings. You don’t need to have a lot of people to depend on, but one could be enough. Someone that knows you for you, who you trust and loves you unconditionally. Just so that you could release that tension in your mind.
